Smart Phones – A Friend or Foe in My Social life

Smart Phones - Social Life
Smart Phones : In My Social Life

As long as you have a cell phone you are never alone; if not, how will you locate your family members in your own house without it? It is a fact that we are absolutely dependent on our mobiles or smart phones. To be honest, these are creations by a devil that has taken away our natural life and thrown us into the mysterious virtual world.

How did mobile telephony, the technology of mobile phones, start? Let’s learn this first. Mobile telephony service is provided through cellular networks. Cellular network divides land into small cells by setting up transceivers at different locations. These transceivers have unique set of frequencies for each of its cell interfaces. Cellular networks work on public switched telephone network technology that has been developed since 1993 by ITU-T, a committee of International Telecommunication Union.

There are two types of mobile phones that we commonly use – Mobile Phone and Smart Phone. In the early phase of cellular telephony, we used basic mobile phones only to converse with our near and dears. Later, modern mobile phones started to support text messaging, e-mails, multi-media messaging, gaming, infra-red and bluetooth services.

A smart phone has all the functions of a basic and modern mobile phone but it supports third party applications also i.e. we can download, install and operate other’s applications, the applications provided by mobile operators and mobile manufacturers. The smart phones commonly use Android, Blackberry, iOS and Windows software platforms. Generally, we use applications on Google’s Android platform, which are downloaded from the application store of Google Play, Amazon Application Store, etc. In other cases, we can use iPhones (Apple’s), Window’s Phone Store, Blackberry App’s Store. Some of the most used applications are: Facebook, Pandora, What’s App, We Chat, Viber, Skype, Hangouts, You Tube and G+. These applications are used for discussion, conversation, mobile commerce, etc.

Software Platforms
Market Share of Mobile Software Platforms
Mobile applications help us to continuously stay in touch with our community and help us to share our experiences with them. We can listen to music, watch video and learn new things through these applications. Some of the applications help us to protect from deceit or hidden threats. They connect us socially and we can even showcase our talent, our mood and our status to our acquaintances through them. It’s a new phenomenon; it has its impact largely on youth. The children in their early childhood use these phones as play device for playing games and they fail to share playgrounds with their friends. It adversely affects their health and psychological development. The adolescents have started to connect with the virtual world and sometimes it leads them to face fraud, stalking and harassment at the hands of mysterious people.

Share and Connect
Sharing and Connecting

It’s a debatable question if the rapid technology development in mobile telephony has negatively affected our behaviour and health. Somehow, your answer would be yes. However, there are some applications of smart phones that can compute our health parameters. Cutting edge technology of smart phone will permit us to record behavioral changes in near future.

Mobile phones are not only an instrument but more than that which can protect us like a lethal weapon, but you should be aware of how to use them successfully.

SwarYoga - Cure Without Medication

Yoga Health
It is the first duty of mankind to keep themselves away from diseases - physical as well as psychological, when there are grave chances of contagious diseases due to unhealthy living. Many medical systems have been evolved to cure these diseases for over a period of times. Some of the major available medical treatments are: Allopathic, Homeopathic, Ayurvedic, Unani, Acupressure, Acupuncture and Siddha, etc. These systems have their own pros and cons.

Ayurveda
Auirvedic Medicines
It might have left a bad taste on you when a medicine cured a disease but a new one has comes into existence. So, you may please spare a few minutes to think over; how it would feel to be cured without intake of a single pill of medicine.

‘Swarodaya Yoga’ is an alternate to the bitter pills of treatment that we swallow. It is a science as it allows us to systematically study sound of inhaling or exhaling of breath through our nose which one can observe individually or personally. It is named after Swar i.e. sound of breathing and pulse. Swar exactly means: musical note.
VATA, PITTA, KAPHA

‘Swarodaya Yoga’ cures all diseases by balancing three types of imbalances - Vata (Air), Pitta (bile) and Cuff (Sputum) through our respiratory system which are the major elements of Ayurveda also. The pulses are connected to our heart and if we palpate arteries, we can record our heartbeat. You will definitely agree to the fact that human life is dependent on oxygen which is taken to our cells by red blood cells available in hemoglobin of our blood. So, our body is completely dependent on inhalation and exhalation of breathing.

Swar Yoga
Pulse System

‘Swarodaya Yoga’ defines and divides the breathing system into three types i.e. Ida (when we inhale & exhale from our left side of the nostrils), Pingla (when we inhale & exhale from our right side of the nostrils) and Sushmana (when we inhale & exhale from both sides of the nostrils). We mostly breathe in & out from either Ida or Pingla but sometimes we breathe from both the nostrils. Ida depicts peace and purity as per Sarovdaya Shastra, however, Pingla relates to gallant and power. Sushmana is neutral among them. It says that, we should work according to the nature of Ida or Pingla.

Swarodaya Yoga states that we alternatively breathe one of the other nostrils for one hour (12 times each) throughout a day. The rotations of beginning of breathe with each nostril changes with lunar cycle. Our breathing begins from the left nostril on the day of a new moon upto three days and then it changes to right nostril for next three days. This rotation continues till the last date of full moon. However, the rotation will be contrary to the above lunar phase when moon moves from Waxing Gibbous to Waning Crescent. If you find that you are not breathing in the defined order, it means that you may get ill and if that continue to remain for more than 45 days, it means that you will breathe your last soon. We can cure our breathing rotation, if we start to breathe against the natural rotation. The simple approach is not to breathe from the nostril, if that breathes against the natural way. You should stop that immediately by pressing the nostril with the use of thumb and start inhaling from the nostril which is not pressed. After inhaling you should release the pressed nostril for exhaling. However, exhaling shall be done after pressing the nostril, which has been used for inhaling, with two fingers. Even, if we fail to stop breathe in a natural way, then we should apply a cotton or silk cloth instead of thumb and fingers.

So, if you learn to change your breathe, you can win over air and medicines.

White Hat or Black Hat SEO Techniques

SEO

Do you know what is 'Hide & Seek'?

If 'No'.

Let me give you a clue.

It is a game that you might have played in your childhood days.
SEO

What is SEO?

The same theory relates to SEO.
It is all about searching a website through a search engine on the internet.
SEO is an optimization process (clue) that helps search engines in identifying or verifying, indexing and crawling a specific website available on the internet. This technique helps in improving the visibility of the website or web page on the internet.

SEO pays attention to the keywords typed into search engine, how search engines work, what people search for, and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience.

It includes On Page Optimization techniques as well Off-page Optimization techniques.

How to SEO?

We can primarily categories SEO techniques into following two broad categories:

  1. White Hat Techniques
  2. Black Hat Techniques
White Hat Techniques:

White Hat means pure techniques. It means to follow those guidelines which are widely approved by search engines for optimization purpose and involves no deception. The following ensures the white hat technique:
  1. Use of quality content in the website;
  2. Proper use of heading element;
  3. Use of meta tags and meta description;
  4. Quality inbound links;
  5. Use of social media:  Facebook, g+, Twitter, Linkedin, Digg, Reddit, etc;
  6. Email marketing (Mailing to subscribers only) i.e. not spamming;
  7. Use of Blogs (Google's blogspot, Wordpress, Yahoo's Tumblr, Quora and linkedin plu etc.);
  8. Adding URLs to Web Directories as ODP, Yahoo Directory, etc.;
  9. Use of Content Management System;
  10. Optimization of videos and pictures
  11. Optimum use of relevant key words.
Black Hat Techniques:

This technique is contrary to the White Hat Technique. It is not indexing but spam-dexing.

Following are some of the black hat techniques:

  1. Hidden Content: The hidden text, either written in a tinny font or of same colour of the web page or hiding it within html code such as "no frame" sections, alt attributes, zero-sized HTML Divs, and "no script" sections.
  2. Meta Tags Stuffing: Using unrelated Meta tags to the website's content.
  3. Incorrect use of Meta Description: Description is promotional and contains a specific keyword only. It should be descriptive in two to three sentences.
  4. Gateway Pages: Designed for search engines not for end users.
  5. Scraper Sites: Developed with the use of various programmes designed to scrap search engine results
  6. Link Farming : To list links of unrelated web pages.
  7. Link Spamming
  8. Use of Link Building Softwares
  9. Buying Expired Domains
  10. Cookie Stuffing: Placing an affiliate tracking code on the users computer without his knowledge.
  11. Forum Spaming: inserting links to the editable websites.
  12. Comment spaming
  13. Spamming in Blogs
  14. Mirror websites
  15. URL Redirection

It is open to microbial contamination from various sources. It may contaminate during manufacturing, packaging and distribution process as well.

Many species of micro organisms, including pathogenic and toxin producing may gain entry into the product. They are also able to grow in the product when exposed to atmospheric temperatures, thus rendering the product potentially harmful to human consumption.

It is, therefore, imperative that:

1) High standards of sanitation should be maintained at all stages from production to distribution;

2) The product mix before freezing should be subjected to efficient pasteurization treatment to destroy all pathogens;

3) The ingredients like fruits, nuts, etc., added to the product mix after pasteurization should be of high quality and processed properly to cut the microbiological load in the final product;

4) Adequate precautions are necessary to prevent contamination of the product during its freezing, packaging, storage and distribution;

5) All persons engaged in manufacturing process and supply chain should have adequate awareness and should practice a high standard of hygiene.

Few Steps to shun Bacterial Growth during Manufacturing

Ice cream manufacturing premises should be maintained hygienically. Equipment and containers are properly cleaned and sanitized before use. Milk and milk products are fresh, sweet, and free from the foreign matter. Cocoa or liquor chocolate of good quality is used and stored in a clean and dry place. Heat the product mix and pasteurized in less than an hour to control the bacterial growth. The pasteurized mix cooled to a temperature of 4.5 degree centigrade within one and half hours of heat treatment and stored at that temperature until taken out of freezing.

The dry colours dissolve in hot water at eighty degree centigrade and then stored at four degree centigrade. Air, a prominent ingredient of the product, passed through suitable sterile filters while incorporating in ice cream.

Few Steps to shun Bacterial Growth during Distribution

The push carts of vendors should maintain at least minus five degree centigrade temperature. Only licensed vendors or hawkers shall sell the product. It is better to immerse periodically Ice cream scoops or other appliances in hot water, maintained at a temperature of eighty degree centigrade, or in bacterial solution. No person should touch the product with their hands during filling in cups or serving to the customers. The person selling or handling ice cream should be healthy and free from infectious disease. They should wear clean clothes and observe strict hygienic practices. Ice cream returned in broken or open condition should be discarded. Melted ice cream during storage can only be used after its re-pasteurization.

The above steps not only help to the manufacturer but also to the consumers and vendors.

eCommerce - An Avenue for Exploration of Indian Entrepreneurs

Geography and Indian Economy

India is a beautiful country in South East Asia. There is a Himalayan range in North of India, the highest in the world, which stands between it & western countries to protect its climate f
rom western disturbances. Geographically, it is better placed than any other country to claim the richest economy of the world.

Mixed Economy

India is a mixed economy. Since, 1991, until disintegration of the Soviet Union, Indian economy was a mirror of Socialism. But disintegration of USSR has disheartened all its think tanks to avert their path from socialism to capitalism.

Capitalist Economy

Finally, open economy has been adjudged better and introduced in 1991 in India in the leadership of Sh. Manmohan Singh, the then Finance Minister. It is the strength of Indian economy that rise leaps and bounds even at the time of recession in 2009-10.

We beat the recession because we are using our products to meet with our own demands. Open economy has opened all global markets for Indian entrepreneurs to explore the avenues where they can sell or resell their products and services. An entrepreneur is always in search of a forum or market where he can sell his goods & services with ease to his customers directly without a middleman. The e-markets have given such avenues to Indian Entrepreneurs. These avenues are called as e-comm, eCommerce, e Business etc.

eCommerce websites in India

eCommerce website helped marketers to sell their products directly via online transactions. It is a business to customer (B2C) approach of e Business. The facility of Electronically Fund Transfer (EFT) has made it possible to receive payments for the offered products online and give receipts thereof to the respective customers immediately. The biggest problem in EFT is that, people of India feels more safe in using orthodox modes of payments for buying goods & services. So, now, eCommerce websites are also accepting cash (on your door facility), demand draft and cheque etc. The facility of e-ticketing is being extensively used in India and it has helped a lot in educating people about what is eCommerce.

Business to business (B2B) is another forum for all affiliated businesses dealing in raw materials to end
products. It is a typical supply chain where many transactions are possible and even volume of electronic transactions is comparatively much higher in B2B than B2C. Electronic & automobile industry is the best example of B2B eCommerce where volume & number transactions are much higher. A few of Indian industrialists have shown interest in these forums. The main problem stands between utilization of such avenues is low awareness among entrepreneurs and traders. I have described some of the barriers as under:

Barriers in eCommerce in India

1) Collection of Payment: Through poorly designed payment gateways, higher transaction charges to the tune of 3% to 4%.

2) Logistics: Safe delivery of goods to the right person in right time. Courier charges are higher for delivery goods in remote areas. Insurance for goods is affecting revenue of the business house.

3) Vendor Management System: Checking and updating prices at regular interval is the biggest problem. Servers behind the curtain are also creating problems.

4) Policies & Taxation: Different taxes at different places are also creating chaos while offering goods through eCommerce.

Why We Choose Google's Custom Search Engine?

It’s my privilege to introduce you with the topic of custom search engine i.e. CSE.  I feel that you may be aware of search engines and their functions, but if not, we should learn about search engines before learning about CSE:

Search Engine:  It is quite difficult for a layman to find out the relevant information on www (W3) in absence of any search engine as there are trillion of web pages on W3. All these web pages contain certain information for its users.  Search engine helps us to ascertain/search the actual information available
Search Engines
on internet.  However, they can crawl and index a website only if that website has added their Meta verification tag, etc.  The html Meta tag of a search engine can be ascertained with the help of its Web Master.  If you are not interested to add any Meta Tag, etc. in your website, you may opt to add or to suggest your website’s URL in the most appropriate category of DMOZ - the oldest website directory.  A user should strictly follow DMOZ guidelines while suggesting their website.

There are many search engines in W3 e.g. Google, Yahoo, Baidu, Excite, Ask, AOL, Soso and Yandex, etc. However, Google is the most popular search engine on W3 with a market share of 68.9%.

What is the use of a Custom Search Engine?

CSE helps your users to search any information on your website as well as on W3 also.  Perhaps, you may have observed many websites and blogs, which have their own search boxes but maybe you are not aware of their functionality and benefits. Such type of search box is called Custom Search Engine i.e. CSE and it helps to search any information on a specific website or blog.  The CSE in the name of a specific website helps to develop its brand.
Custom Search Engines

It facilitates your users not to open a new search engine time and again to find out any information.  It makes your website users’ friendly.  One of the best advantages of CSE in a website is that it helps to grow significant keywords for your web pages.  More the significant keywords bring more the chances of promoting your website in search results for those relevant keywords.  The search engine may take clue from their significance for its Autocompletion algorithm. The Autocompletion is a magic feature of search engine that promotes further a website in its search results.

How to Create Google's Custom Search Engine?

Simply, follow the following steps to create a search engine for your website or blog:-

1)      Go to Google’s website of CSE;
2)      Click at ‘New Search Engine’;
3)      You should add your web address in ‘Site to Search’ box.  The website shall be submitted in a (www.crispwriters.com/*) form to include all URLs of www.crispwriters.com or crispwriters.com.  For including all sub-domains of a website, you should submit as *.crispwriters.com/*. For including all URLs that contain the word ‘articles’ *.crispwriters.com*articles ;
4)      Select your language;
5)      Name your search engine;
6)      Then click create your own search engine;
7)      For excluding any website : 1) Go to main page of CSE, 2) Click Setup, 3) Click Advance option in Basic Tab, 4) To exclude a specific URL, type the specific URL and to exclude Multiple URLs, use Exclude sites in bulk.  At the end, please don’t forget to click save.
8)      You can now use ‘CSE Creation from Keywords Tools’ also. This tool helps to create a search engine that can search specific websites or specific web pages on a specific topic. It allows adding maximum 50 keywords of 100 characters each which best define or describing the topic. The keywords can be words or phrases.  Multiple keywords should be separated by commas. CSE supports only ascii characters for keywords. The link to create CSE from keywords tools is: ‘https://www.google.co.in/cse/create/fromkwsetname’;
9)      When you click on ‘Expand Keywords’ you will find that each keyword has been expanded and grouped in many groups.  You can review each group by clicking on it and if that group is not required, you may delete the specific group.  However, you should add a specific keyword to remove that in ‘Negative Terms’;
10)   If you choose to upgrade your CSE, you can make money by connecting your account to Google Adsense. Whenever any user clicks on an advertisement shown in your search results, Google will share its revenue with you.  It also helps to immediate index URLs as per the indexing quota. You can purchase upgraded CSE by paying $100 per year to $ 2000 per year for search queries from 20000 per year to 500000 queries per year respectively;

Voice Search on Google's Search Engine

Voice Search on Windows
Voice Search is an application of Google that allows its audience to search anything on it without typing a text in the search box.  If you cannot type and cannot spell correctly, it would be comfortable for you to search the keyword or phrase through Voice Search that helps to break the language barrier. This application works on iOS, Android and Chrome browsers of laptops and desktops. Google’s Knowledge Graph has powered the application.

The application also answers the questions and you can hear them. You just keep the volume at higher level to listen the answers of your questions.

Voice Search
Voice Search on Mobile
You can download the application from Google Play Store (www.play.google.com) at free of cost.  If you wish to install the application through Google Play Store from your computer, you should first link your Google account to your Android device in case you are using Android Mobile.   However, all the Android Devices come with Google Play Store.  Similarly, we can use it on iPhones and iPads, etc.

A user has to tap the icon of ‘Search Voice’ - a mobile application - and the application will immediately start to search the keywords or phrases.  But before starting a search, the application does recognize your voice for authenticity.

Google Algorithm – Autocomplete

Internet is a source of information and its prime objective is to educate.  Google is the largest search engine that searches exact information on trillion of web pages available on the Internet
 which uses different algorithms, approx 200 types, to refine its search results.  Algorithm is a computer programme to take a query from you and to put forth an answer to a particular query.

One of the above algorithms is ‘Autocomplete’. What does it do and how does it do?  Let’s examine. Autocomplete means word completion.  We press keys of different characters on our computer’s keyboard to search specific information in Google’s search box.  Google start to apply its intelligence from the first impression of the key in its search box. It suggests you all the common options available, which have been chosen frequently, with the impression of the first key in its search box.  You can find maximum 10 options at a time in the search box for the related query but you have to opt for one, mentioning ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’.   You can see a sign ‘>>’ after ‘I’m Feeling lucky’.  If we click that sign, we will be directed immediately to the relevant website or webpage.

If you want to search ABCD, Google’s intelligence search will function in A B C D form i.e. we have to create impression of the first key as ‘A’, the next impression will be ‘B’ and so on. It might be possible that with the first impression of ‘A’ only, Google quickly provides an option of ABCD.  Web developers are also using Autocomplete option in their websites using html, asp.net and jquery, etc.  But, it is not mandatory for them to follow Google’s suit.

The benefit of this algorithm is that a user has to type few letters; less than what is required, for a particular search and they will find quick suggestions which help them to save their time by typing less.  This algorithm also helps to correct the spelling errors.  You start to type a wrong spelling and Google will suggest you the most frequently used spelling for the related query.  Also, it repeats the results for its users. It means if you have searched something on Google while you are signed in keeping your search history on, Google will try to provide the exact web results that you have already searched for.

One of the features of its intelligent search is that it provides immediate answer to a question.  For example: if you type 1Kg is equal to how many pounds, you will find the exact answer i.e. 2.2046 below the search box.  It will hardly take less than a second to answer your query.

The Autocomplete algorithm helps Google to note down the data on any keyword.

The algorithm helps to control spam to a great extent as it allows user to report to Google, if they experience unwanted and unrelated results on the search engine.

Payment Gateways and E-commerce in India

Payment Gateways in India

There are a few big e-payment companies in India like EBS, CC Avenue and Bill Desk etc. but the e-commerce gateway business is largely dominated by big private banks e.g. HDFC, ICICI & Citibank. With increase in e-commerce websites in India, online transactions have also increased annually by 50%  in India. Yet, Indian e-commerce softwares are far behind when compared to those meeting with International Standards. They need utmost improvement to deal with rapidly growing e-business and mobile commerce business in India. E-tailing alone is contributing 6% of its share in an e-commerce industry of Rs. 43000 crores.

Bulls and bears are fighting on streets of India to catch the honey. It is the strongest economy of the world which has not plunged even when there are clouds of recession around the world. In India, internet has become a prime media to search and sell products online. Shopping Malls have started to offer their products online to their customers. The impact of internet can be understood by this fact that even marriages are being solemnized through website services. Jobs and even marriage search engines are charging for their online premium services.

Yoga - Ashtanga Yoga

SamadhiSuccess is a focal and optimal point that makes you want to look worldly.  Many rush daily to their workplaces for its quest but few of them have genuinely ever tried to connect their souls to their minds.

Hatha YogaOur mind works tirelessly to realize our materialistic goals and it is constantly breaking with precedent for our follies.  Shall we not offer it a small fraction of seconds to connect to our soul and shun the endless thinking process? You can solely cherish such a single moment of keeping your mind off.

Yoga is a supernatural source, which can help you to cure physical and mental ailments and thus to achieve the real objective of mental peace. It is a continuous learning process which should be initially started in the supervision of an expert in yoga.   Let’s discuss - What is Yoga?  Literally, Yoga means ‘Yuj’ in Sanskrit language i.e. union. It is a process to connect the soul with divine providence. The objective of Yoga as per Ashtanga Yoga is: ‘Yogashchit Vriti Nirodhah’ i.e. to curb the wave of thoughts about misconceptions and to curb the deviation of mind means Yoga.

There are eight limbs of Yoga as per Ashtanga Yoga, which are given below:

    Chakras
  1. Yam: Yam includes nonviolence, truthfulness, non-stealing, celibacy, forgiveness, patience, compassion, honesty, moderate appetite.
  2. Niyam: Purity (body and mind), contentment, endurance, self-study, worship the almighty, theism, donation, listening to ultimate truth, intelligence, not to be ashamed of good things, sacrifice.
  3. Asana: To maintain a body posture for maximum hours.
  4. Pranayama: Controlling inhaling and exhaling of breath
  5. Pratyahaar:  Withdrawal of five senses i.e. see through eyes, taste through tongue, listening through ears, touch of body, smelling through nose.
  6. Dharna: Concentrating the mind at one object while holding breath.
  7. Dhyaan: Deeper concentration of the mind through meditation.
  8. Samadhi:   It is an optimum level of concentration of mind when our logical and analytical ability of thinking of the being is stopped.
Samadhi is a momentary experience at the initial stage and one can realize it only after following the eight limbs.  You may not achieve ‘Samadhi’, as most of the people can’t, but if you manage to achieve it for a moment; you will realize that it is quite difficult to achieve it again and again. You can master the technique with continuous practice only.

Our all biological activities are stopped at the time of Samadhi, Even Samadhi helps to stop senescence. But, we need not to forget our prime objective to connect our soul with divine providence and practice in that direction only.
